We have eaten at Burts at least three times and have enjoyed our experiences each time. It looks pretty from the outside and it is very cozy on the inside. A Loin of Pork was very moist and tender and I enjoyed it greatly. Moules mariniere were delicious, although the mussels themselves were rather small. My partner had a Fish pie containing smoked mackerel. We loved the ice cream we had to follow, and had never sampled this variety before. It was slightly powdery and fizzy (in a good way!). On the whole, Burts is a quality establishment, and I can heartily recomend it. A great place for Christmas lunch in the Scottish Borders. PS it serves real ale!
