The Aagrah Restaurant
The Aagrah Restaurant

We recently bumped into somebody from Denby Dale - "Oh, there was an Aagrah restaurant in Denby Dale, wasnt there?", we asked and immediatly their eyes lit up with recognition and we went on to have a long and enthusiastic discussion about the chain of Aagrah restaurants across Yorkshire. It would seem they have a large and loyal following who cant stop going back.
We would visit the Aagrah on a weekly basis, enjoying mixed tandoori birianis, machli masala (curried fish), saag gosht (lamb and spinach), chicken hydrobadi and all manner of fabulous South Asian dishes and we were in heaven.
The food was consistantly delicious and mouth watering - just about the most meaty and savoury treat I could imagine. They cater for vegetarians and there are plenty of vedgy options. The interiors were fabulously extravagent with great gold domes set in the ceilings and bells on the chairs.
